About Me

I’m Valdet Selimaj, a passionate people development and self-care professional. My background is in learning and development, with a focus on leadership and team development. I hold multiple certifications in areas like communication, leadership, and human performance.

I have over a decade of experience working with people in training, facilitation, coaching and consulting. I am experienced in both one-on-one coaching and group coaching.

My educational background is in psychology. I earned a Bachelors of Science in Psychology at Wilmington University. My goal is to become a social psychologist. As a forever student, I am always eager to build on my academic foundation. I am a member of Psi Chi, the international honor society in psychology.

I am also a certified life coach that, coupled with my background and education, specializes in personal and professional development, mindfulness and meditation.

I’m a proud member of the LGBTQ community and first-generation Albanian-American. I identify as gay and have been out for over 20 years. I’m interested in coaching, writing, social media, fitness, traveling, and spending time with my incredible nephews and niece.

Spirituality is an integral part of my life, and I practice mindfulness and meditation regularly. I am passionate about merging spirituality with science, and I’m a practitioner of Buddhism.

I’ll be sharing my experiences, thoughts, and insights on various topics on this blog. New blog posts will be posted every Monday at 10:00 am EST.
